Who doesn't love a nice, cold, healthy smoothie in the summertime? We know the Pink Ranger does. This week try the:
Pink Ranger Smoothie
- 1 cup of non-fat yogurt (You can also use non-dairy yogurt, like soy or coconut)
- 1 cup of non-fat milk, soy, rice or almond milk
- 1 tablespoon NATURAL sweetener - honey, maple syrup or agave
- 1.5 cups of Pink Ranger Colored Fruit: Strawberries, Raspberries
In a blender, combine yogurt, milk of choice and sweetener. Add 1 cup of your ranger fruit and blend until smooth. Feel free to mix and match whatever fruit you like. For example, you can make a Berry-Banana smoothie with ½ a cup of strawberries, 1/2 cup of raspberries and ½ cup of bananas! Get creative and feed your body right!
If you want to make a super-pink smoothie like in the photo, you can use Pink Ranger's secret ingredients: beets! Peel and chop a small fresh beet and blend it with some milk to start. If you have a juicer or buy it, use beet juice! Or use a few canned beets. Experiment and see how pink it can be!
