Go go CicLAvia! Power Rangers meet fans on bikes in LA!
This Sunday Power Rangers emPOWER was proud to support CicLAvia, a community biking and pedestrian event in Los Angeles. The Rangers joined more than 100,000 people at the event who biked or walked along more than 10 miles of city streets, all closed to car traffic for 5 hours to create a huge urban temporary park.
CicLAvia makes the streets safe for people to walk, skate, play and ride a bike. Families can bike the route together - and yesterday many were thrilled to stop and have their pictures taken with the Rangers. Check out the Power Rangers emPOWER facebook page and see lots more photos from the event!
Ciclovías started in Bogotá, Colombia, over thirty years ago as a response to the congestion and pollution of city streets. Now they happen throughout Latin America and the United States. The Power Rangers are always happy to support events that bring familes together to exercise outside! Tell us about your favorite local community event on our Facebook page!
